After Windows Vista RC 2 released on early of this month, i do some research on anti virus software that able to compatible on Windows Vista RC2 ( build 5744 ). Since microsoft claim that Windows Vista security is tight and secure, anyway, i still not believe Vista security and will install anti-virus software for better security protection on my newly installed Windows Vista.
Here is the list of anti virus software that compatible on Windows Vista.
- avast! Home Antivirus Build 4.7.892 (32-bit and 64-bit)
- Avast Antivirus Professional 4.7.892 (32-bit)
- McAfee VirusScan Enterprise v8.5i Beta IV Refresh (32-bit)
- Windows Live OneCare 1.5.1785.18 (32-bit)
- AVG Professional 7.5 (32-bit)
- AVG free: install in compatibility mode for XP
- F-Prot Antivirus for Windows version 3.16f
- Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 14.56 for Windows Vista (64-bit).
- ClamWin Antivirus
i have installed opensource ClamWin Antivirus on Windows vista since the clamwin is free. if you have free time or try other anti virus on Windows Vista. let us know your comment ?

I’ve been using the Avast Home 4.7 since I installed the W.Vista and so far I have nothing to complain. I think it does the job, althouhg I’m used to the AVG free edition – but I´ve heard it wasn´t secure enough so, even if I don´t agree with that, I decide to give Avast a try.

Here listed all anti virus are free or paid and if trial virsion than how long i can u as my vista is giving problem soo i dont want to experiment with installation of this anti virus if they are just trial virus and if they are working well with vista then i will all to my article Windows Vista features
