Windfox is an extension that displays the actual wind speed, wind direction and air temperature at your favorite surfspot in your Firefox web browser. Windfox checks Windfinder.com for new observations every 15 minutes.

WindFox is configurable to display your favorite surfspot. Just right-click the WindFox extension, then select “Options”. An options windows appears. In the tab “Weather station” click “Change your weather station”. The select the continent, country, region and the weather station that you want to monitor. Then click “OK” to save the changes.

You can also configure a windspeed threshold. When the threshold is exceeded Windfox alerts you with a flashlight. You can also use the extension to switch to the corresponding wind report or forecast on the Windfinder web site.

Windfox is available in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian, it automatically uses your browser’s default language. You can download the latest version of WindFox from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3236.
