VoxLib announced VOX for Skype services, This new service allows users the ability to access and make calls with your Skype account using a mobile phone. This offers enables users to benefit from Skype while away from their desktop. meanwhile, there is no software rinstall on the mobile phone or no data charges required on the mobile phone.

Here is the function that VOX services will perform:-

• Call people on their PC
• Know who is online at any moment (get presence status)
• Call people by name (no phone number to remember)
• Listen to and manage their Skype voicemail
• Be notified by SMS of any missed calls or new voicemails
• Initiate Skype to Skype as well as send SMS messages

In order to run Vox services, you just need install a Vox plug-in onto your skype application with access to your Skype account.The Vox services is cater to two services, VOX via SkypeIn and VOX via SMS.

Using VOX for SkypeIn, users would call their SkypeIn number, VOX would recognize this, and give you access to your Skype contacts, cheap long distance, and any Skype voicemails.

VOX for SMS works by sending an SMS to VoxLib’s SMS gateway. The SMS gateway will forward a message to your VOX application running on your PC. You will be called through SkypeOut connecting you to an open conference. Sending an empty, or “online” message from this point will allow VOX to send you a message via Skype containing your contact list, allowing you to call anyone from Skype on your mobile device

The Vox services currently free for certain time periods, it is good you try out the VOX services first for listen to and manage your Skype voicemail, receive SMS notification of missed calls or voicemails, and send SMS messages to Skype contacts.
