ADVERTISEMENTS
Ubuntu 7.04 is going to be the next Ubuntu release, codenamed “Feisty Fawn”. Goals for this release include improved support of hardware and multimedia. The feature list for 7.04 has been slowly growing more exact since Feisty opened late last month. Herd 4 is the first herd release after Feature Freeze, meaning testing is very much needed to guarantee rock-solid stability in the final version.
The most recent version, Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft), was released on October 26, 2006. Version 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) is scheduled for release on April 19, 2007. For more information, see the Feisty Release Schedule.
