You can record (English, French or German) PDF, Word, plain text, PowerPoint files, RSS news feeds, emails and web pages, and converts them to speech automatically. SpokenText also allows you to download your recording as an iPod book or mp3 file.

To get started, you need to register to a free SpokenText account to create, store, manage and share generated audio recordings online or embed them on your blog or website. There are 5 types of recording, You can upload any of the supported document formats up to 981.4 kB of size, emails, web page, enter text you want recorded, and RSS feeds. To create a recording, you can choose from several voices, including male and female or translate English text to be spoken aloud in French or German.create spokentext recording

To share your recordings with all your friends or visitors to your web site, you need to create an alias for your personal SpokenText web site and podcast address. Then you can use it to download recordings to iTunes or your iPod.

With SpokenText you can convert pdf to mp3, doc to mp3, ppt to mp3, txt to mp3, html to mp3, RSS feeds to mp3, emails to mp3, web pages to mp3 or enter text to convert to mp3. It supports Acrobat PDF (.pdf), Microsoft Word (.doc) versions up to 2003, Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt) versions upto 2003, Plain text (.txt), and HTML (.htm).
