Songbeat, a new web-based music player for your desktop has been released that allows you to search music from the web by performing search of the song title or artist using an innovative search platform.

Songbeat searches the web for MP3s using Seeqpod technology. Seeqpod, alongside Skreemr and Songza, is a search engine for MP3s that are hosted across on the internet. You can easily search, listen and download your favorite MP3 Songs for free.

Songbeat claims that it is not a file sharing program, that it only allows user to search and play music already available on the internet. Simply search by the song title or artist you like, and Songbeat will search for the music and display the files available from the web. Songbeat displays song name and artist name with links to play and download the music.
