ADVERTISEMENTS
Shazou (pronounced Shazoo - Japanese for mapping) is a Firefox Extension that integrates location-based mapping service to help you understand more of the website you are visiting.
With Shazou, it is possible to locate the whereabouts of a website using the Mozilla Firefox web browser. It can locate any website’s server you are currently viewing and display the location on the Google Map. Shazou ties in directly with Google maps and offers you the usual Google representation, a satellite or hybrid view.
You can then locate the whereabouts of any Website either by:
- Right-click on a Web link and select the “Shazou this Link” option
- Go to the Website and then select the “Shazou” option in the right-click context menu
- Go to the Website and then click on the S icon shown in the browser’s Status Bar
Shazou will open a new window and show where the website is hosted at. It will also show you the website registrant’s address and your IP address.

You can download the latest Shazou Firefox Extension from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2993 or from the authors site, http://www.seisan.com/shazou/.
