Google has just added a new service to let you share your favorite RSS feeds and articles with friends, through Google Talk.

Click on the “Share” whenever you find an interesting item and you want to share with your friend. The icon will turn orange to indicate that it’s being shared. Google Reader automatically creates a public page for any items that you mark as “shared”. You can see a list of everything you’ve chosen to share at the “Your Shared Items”.

Now Google makes your Google Reader shared items visible to your friends from Google Talk. Your friends will be able to see your shared items in the Google Reader left-hand navigation area under “Friends’ shared items”.

You can manage your friends list at your Google Reader Settings page to choose which friends and invite them to see your Reader shared items. Read here for more on how to add and remove friends.
