Recuva (pronounced “recover”) is a freeware Windows utility brought to you by Piriform, the company that brought you CCleaner and Defraggler. Recuva helps you restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. Recuva can recover files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses.

You can effectively recover deleted files emptied from the Windows Recycle Bin or lost due to virus or Trojan infection and crashes with Recuva. Recuva allows you to scan a selected drive and display your deleted files within minutes. You can then search for the deleted files and restore them easily.

Currently, Recuva is in beta testing phase, you can download it free from http://www.recuva.com/download and quickly restore files that were accidentally deleted.
