ADVERTISEMENTS
MediaFire is a free file hosting service similar like ” Rapidshare ” that allows unlimited file sizes and uploads, as well as unlimited downloads of files. Compare to RapidShare has all hate things such as the 60-second delay before you can download and a 100MB file size limit.
The MediaFire services is really well made, Which MediaFire service even displays a progress bar and Speed estimation to show you how much longer the upload is going to take. Furthermore, there is no waits times like RapidShare. On downloading files features, MediaFire has provides variety of download features like html download links code, instant messenger and easy email services.

At future, i think probably use mediafire as my file hosting services but i need to confirm how long the file will be keep in their server, as i know, Rapidshare will keep a file on their servers as long as someone downloads it every 30 days, otherwise they will delete it.

Thanks for the heads-up on this site, it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for!
I emailed them about the hosting time and received this response: “While there is currently no time limit on the storage of uploaded files, in the future if the need to delete data should become necessary you will receive an email to the account holders email address notifying you of the impending deletion so that you can manage your files accordingly. Currently any file deletion will be on an as-needed basis and will apply to older and less frequently downloaded files first.”
Their terms are pretty standard for a site that is hosting other peoples files any responsible company would say the same thing. Great site!

January 8th, 2007 at 6:03 pm

It turns up as a blank page on my browser too. When I googled for their updates site, I was linked to the MediaFire blog but when I clicked on the Contact Us page, it turned out blank as well. So now I can’t even complain to them that their site is defective.

Recently Nakdio also claimed that they provide unlimited upload/download and keep your files forever!
Sounds cool!
February 4th, 2007 at 3:44 am
And what is strange-if I used IE I have had sometimes problem wirh mediafire , but if I used Opera or Firefox I wasn’t able to open mediafire page at all.
I have tested mediafire with browser Torpark ( it can change IP adress itself- it is very good for megaupload btw.- and I never opened mediafire ?!).
Serious confusion for me .
It is only one possibility- forget on mediafire and upload files somewhere out from mediafire.
February 5th, 2007 at 5:32 pm
I can’t even download the file that I’ve uplaoded. Not using MediaFire anymore.
Now I’m trying Nakido, they said they don’t have limit on file size and give you unlimited upload & download. Also the files will keep forever. Works pretty good for me!

i have a problem with mediafire.com::::
i started download from mediafire with internet download manager .
when it comes to %99 the download goes stop.
when the resume is activate it messages that “file size on server changed . download from the first!” .
May 5th, 2007 at 6:38 pm
Mediafire is ok but 99mb take 4 hours but at least it can be download using download managers(for those who are download beginners use download manager with 1 part only because if you pause and resume or it won’t resume download.
my top 5 favourite uploading and downloading
1.turboupload.
(you can run two download and can use download manager but don’t pause and resume it more than 3 times as it will cause trouble with download)
2.rapidshare.
(1 hour wait for download but you can download from rapidshare.de and .com which is not using the same server.
3.up-file
4.mediafire.
5.megaupload.

I use sendspace.com. They have so many features and I never have any problem sending files, especially now they have the Wizaed.

I don’t know about it being good yet! I can’t even get the flag they say you need to open. They have no help questions. and you pick something it’s a ad pusher. I did upload something in sign in and nothing can’t even download that. I sent a e-mail will see if they answer. Other wise I’ve been working on this website going on Five to Six Hours. I’m not dumb. but it’s really starting to piss me off.

I had a look at http://www.nakido.com
I downloaded and installed the nakido flag without any problem (small file). It does a small refresh every few seconds (maybe to measure my connection time with the site, or it could be my ad blocker software).
It has a files size limit of 99gb, yes that’s right 99gb, unlimited number of uploads, it keeps the files forever, it provides url download links. It supports multiple file downloads using a download manager.
I uploaded and downloaded a small file ok. I was unable to measure the download/upload speed because I have used my monthly bandwith with my isp (my apologies).
Overall I would say it’s quite a good site. The only negative thing about the site is that the downloader/uploader will need to install the nakido flag (small file) to get a really good speed.

I looked at the features of the sites suggested by monkey80:
http://www.turboupload.com
http://rapidshare.com
http://www.up-file.com
http://www.mediafire.com
http://www.megaupload.com
The one I would use if want to put a download link on a blog/forum would be mediafire or maybe megaupload. Thats just my opinion.

I cant access mediafire as well.
What contrys are blocked?!
April 26th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
I’ve been trying to download files a friend sent the urls for from mediafire and can’t. I just get an IE error page saying “Cannot open webpage”.
Why is it so hard. There is no troubleshooter on the site. I’ve sent an email to support and it’s been a couple of days. If I need to adjust browser settings or disable something it would be nice to know. This is a very frustrating download site.

I encounter the same problem when using idm to download mediafire files. it stop at 99%. i switched to flashget. and it works fine now.
January 11th, 2009 at 8:50 pm
if your files stop at 99%, i think you may change your internet download manager ( IDM) to 5.14 or 5.15, they are fix that problems already. if you guys still got that problems..ask god for more details..
there is something wrong with MF at this moment because some files cannot opens or when u clicked download, u will see “cannot connect to server” or something
i knew some softs can help u download MF files just like a direct link.
i know one name ” RSMU utilities” that help u check ur rs or mu link faster and also works with mf like a direct link
