ADVERTISEMENTS
Lycos announced their new Lycos email services ( ccurrently still beta version ) with 3GB email storage and allow unlimited attachment size to be send and received – All is free. All Lycos free email account will similiar like other email services with ads supported on web based email interface. meanwhile, to prevent infrequent use just for sending huge files, theres a stipulation that Lycos mail accounts that go unused for 30 days will be deleted.
if you willing to pay 20USD, you can enjoyed 5GB storage without ads supported and no account preservation.
My note
The unlimited attachment storage has become attractive point to subscribe Lycos email services. In comparison, most other services only permit files of up to 10MB to be attached to e-mails. Email storage number isnt anything super special whereby Gmail already offer 2.75GB ( continue adding up th space).
I still prefer Gmail since the good use of integration with other Google services and my email storage on Gmail never break 10 percent before.

ya ya, Lycos lost all of my emails on 7 Nov 2006 even though I practically log into my account everyday. Probably Lycos decides to clean up my emails as I’ve been using more than 1.5GB storage space there….

Lycos mail has to be the worst email service in the World. Half the time it does not load and then when it does load it says there are no messages when I know there are dozens!. Then it decided that my aaccount did not exist so I had to open a new account, all my messages lost of course. Lycos has been like this for years!. How on earth do they stay in business and when they web tech people leave kindergarten who will take over looking after this deplorable mess? Perhaps a dozen baboons can do better?
