ADVERTISEMENTS
LineBuzz is a tool that adds inline comments to your blog. LineBuzz is really handy for readers to comment about a specific point in the post. Comments are threaded, spam protected and you can manage your comments and delete those you don’t like.
Here’s how LineBuzz describes inline comments:
It’s when one of your readers drags their mouse over text in your blog entry, clicks a button and writes a comment about that piece of text. Next time the page loads, the text on your page is underlined with dashes (or other ways to differentiate the text) and readers can click to see the comment and reply if they’d like.
To add the LineBuzz feature to your blog, you’ll need to register and install one line of Javacript into your blog template. When your readers drags their mouse over text in your blog entry, clicks a button and writes a comment about that piece of text, the commented text then appears like a hotlink.
For LineBuzz to work, your blog entries must be inside a DIV or P element. LineBuzz will preserve your comments between pages. So if a user posts a comment on your blog’s home page, it will be visible on all other pages with that blog entry that have LineBuzz installed.
I love LineBuzz, it is a different way of commenting. I can easily add comments or replies within the original post and have full control over my comments. This is a great tool for free.
