KartOO is a visual search engine that employs several different visualization methods. KartOO presents its search results in the form of an interactive map, exactly like a roadmap on which the cities are replaced by Websites and the roads by thematics.

KartOO technology analyzes the words you are asking for and then decides to question the most accurate search engines. This technology provides a map that summarizes all the various and possible topics so that retrieved sites are in fact grouped into a form of topical “family”.

In the following search for “AdGlobe” the left panel reveals folders with additional related topics, while the right panel presents a cloud of potential links to follow. When you move the pointer over these links, the concerned keywords are illuminated and a brief description of the site appear on the left side, while the right side shows how the link relates to other topics.

KartOO metasearch allow searches to be sent to several search engines and puts its search results on an interactive, visual map for you to play with. This is fun. I can see general overview of entire results, as well as the possibility of refining the results with a simple click.
