IDrive-E – Encrypted, Secure and Automated Online Backup

IDrive-E stands for ‘IDrive Encrypted’, it performs a ‘complete hands-free automated backup’ for your files and folders. IDrive-E does incremental backups that transfer only portions of file that have been modified or changed since the last backup. IDrive-E also allows you to restore large number of files with a simple drag-and-drop using the Windows Explorer like interface.

  • No bandwidth limits or file type restrictions.

IDrive-E efficiently uses your Internet bandwidth by compressing the data files during transmission. All data transferred between the IDrive-E client and server is encrypted using 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, the industry standard encryption for data transmission. IDrive-E also has 256-bit AES encryption on storage with an encryption password key provided by the user while installing the application.

IDrive-E is one of the most user-intuitive backup applications and all you have to do is to download and install it on your computer and simply start using it to schedule files and folders to secure your backups.     You can’t imagine how much it would have cost if I had lost my research files.
    I was working on this new project for my organization based in Nashville, Tennessee.
    I had put my heart and soul into this project. My organization was using IDrive-E for Online Backup but I never gave a second thought to it.

    One day, out of the blue, my system crashed and I was in an intense situation. My heart skipped a beat when the system administrator checked whether all the files were backed up in IDrive-E.
