Google SpreadSheet

Google plans to release Google Spreadsheet as part of Google Labs on Tuesday based on GoogleSystem blog post. it looks likes Google Spreadsheet, which will be made available on a limited test basis, similar like Google’s Web-based word processor called Writely.

This web based application is ease any user by create and modify same spreadsheet from differents places and different computer via online. enabling a group of authorized users to add and edit data without having to e-mail attachments back and forth.

Limitation of Google spreadsheet may not supporting charting features and not providing a menu of controls that can be summoned by clicking on a computer mouse’s right-hand button.
Here is Update from Elinor Mills about Google Spreadsheet:

Google Spreadsheets, which will go live on Tuesday as part of Google Labs, supports the import and export of documents in the .xls format used in Excel and the .csv (common separate values) format, said Jonathan Rochelle, product manager for Google Spreadsheet.

The service provides automatic saving, so once a document is saved for the first time it is saved upon every change, as well as enables easy transfer of data from cell to cell, inserting and deleting of rows and columns and supports multiple sheets or tabs, he said.

Consumers must have a Google account to use the service.

Seem like Google create a web office suite service mock off Microsoft Office product in future. This time, the person that benefit will be us.
