Google Notebook just announce recently on Google press day, This Google services will be launch on next week for testing and it will allow users to keep notes on the pages they visit.

How it works:-

Notebook is a little notes window that follows you from the Google search results to other sites, allowing you to collect bits and pieces of information. You can also make public parts of Google Notebook to share it with others.

it sound very useful since it allowing you to gather content from around the web, add metadata like categories. There is a google employee (erica joy) just released some screenshot for Google Notebook.
