The OS Virtualization software Microsoft and WMware now giving away one of its virtualization products away freely (Windows Virtual PC 2004 and WMware Server). I still figured out why they are giving it out for free ? ( Perhaps Windows start first giving out free and then WMware don’t want left behind and follow Microsoft’s idea )

The free OS virtualization server makes it possible to run and test it out with multiple operating systems and virtual hardware list simultaneously on top of a host OS, which can eliminate dual-booting, make installing or testing potentially dangerous apps risk-free, or keeping around a copy of your old system when you reinstall operating system.

The WMware Server is more advantages than Windows Virtual PC because it can support Linux and Windows OS. meanwhile, The WMware is the market leader for OS Visualization.
Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 can run in Windows XP/2000 and here is a list of operating systems it supports:

The one thing that Microsoft probably won�t be able to do is make Virtual PC compatible with Linux. VMware will probably still hold that crown. Plus more both download software is old version. but worth for try it out if you never test run before.
