Notepad++ is an opensource source code editor which it is totally free and supports several programming languages, running under the MS Windows environment. Notepad++ can describe as the replacement of notepad and the new verson is Notepad++ 3.8 only.

The most important is the syntax highlighting for many types of programming languages like below:-
