When you have too many tabs open to fit in a single window, tab scroll arrows will appear on either side or the tab bar, and a button on the right side will always show you an easy-to-read list of all your open tabs.
For me, I like several tabs open in a windows without scrolling, more convenient to navigate the different tabs.
Quite a number of users asking if there any option to remove the tab scroll bar other than revert back to old version of Firefox. Firefox 2.0 is fully customizable browser, there are standard ways to change the browser appearance and behaviour.
Browser.tabs.tabMinWidth is the Firefox configuration value that determines the tab width. Here is how to disable tab scrolling:
- Type
about:configinto the Firefox address bar. - Find the
browser.tabs.tabMinWidthkey. The default value is 100. - To disable tab scrolling completely, double click on it, set the value to 0. To make more tabs fit before scrolling gets activated, set that number to 75.
