A cool Andriod features demo has been showed on Google conference for developer sleek view what Android will be like and what capable that Andriod doing of. This Android OS demonstration are done on a HTC Dream phone and remember that Andriod is an open source mobile phone operating system that created by Google.

After saw the Andriod demo clip, i think Andriod mobile phone operating system will sure a perfect iPhone competitor which have a nice slick touches to the interface

Key features of Andriod demonstration clip had:

Slide to unlock patterns – On the screen you’ll have 9 dots that you’ll be able to create a pattern with, and that pattern is what’s used to unlock your phone. Now, I don’t think this leaves any chances for accidentally unlocking the phone! And it will fun too, since we all love connecting dots, eh?

Notifications – A slide down page contains all of your notifications (calendar events, new email, etc…). This all-in-one location is quite time-saving.

Desktop – Yes, Android will feature a fully customizable desktop similar to Windows, where users will be able to create shortcuts for bookmarks, contacts etc and drag them to position where ever they want.

Street View – The Android devices will include an optimized version of Google Street View that looks pretty sweet. You can use your finger to spin the map around, or enable the compass view feature that will rotate the 3D imagery according to the direction you’re facing.

Meanwhile, there are dozens of photos of the touchscreen Android prototype over at Android Community. Here comes another free CD burner software called Infra Recorder.

Infra Recorder Burning software is an open source utility that offers a wide range of powerful features; An easy to use application interface and Windows Explorer integration. Beside that, there is a wizard link for burning data, audio and disc discs for novices user. The full features option perhaps might too confuse folks used to using Nero Smart Start.

Here are a few of the things you can do with InfraRecorder:

Create data, audio, video, and mixed-mode discs

Record dual-layer DVDs

Four methods for erasing discs

Record disc images (ISO and BIN/CUE)

Scan SCSI/IDE bus for devices and capabilities

Create disc copies using temporary disc image

Import session data from multi-session discs and add more sessions

However, Infra Recoder doesn’t support Blu ray and HD Dvd burning features. Which is the limitation of this burning software.

BitTorrent 6 , A popular torrent client application has been just release. BitTorrent which has acquired uTorrent late last year and completely replicates uTorrent functionality and interfaces on BitTorrent 6. The only differrences between BitTorrent and uTorrent is a new menu item called “Get Stuff”, which just links to locations in the BitTorrent store online.

However, BitTorrent system resources now run with uTorrent capability, which is faster and takes up less space than previous BitTorrent version. But there is some speculation that the two will remain separate, and BitTorrent could be promoted as a destkop program while uTorrent could continue to be a lightweight, portable option.

Download BitTorrent 6, which has got the following features

Enchanting and improved user interface similar to uTorrent (BitTorrent acquired uTorrent recently)

Light Weight

Global and Per Torrent Speed limiting

RSS Downloader

Bandwidth Scheduler

A download accelerator for higher torrent download speeds

New menubar to discover new stuff to download

What you see when you look at the sky? Where are the Sun, Moon, Planets and Stars right now? Stellarium is a software that lets you explore the sky and watch the movement of the stars.

Stellarium turns computer into virtual planetarium and display the astronomical objects realistically. Stellarium calculate the positions of the Sun and Moon, planets and stars, and draw how the sky would look to an observer depending on their location and the time. It can also draw the constellations and simulate astronomical phenomena such as meteor showers, and solar or lunar eclipses.

Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope. It is being used in planetarium projectors.

To set your location, simple open the configuration window, click your location on the map, or enter coordinates manually if you know your latitude and longitude, and then save. The sky will look exactly as it looks where you live when you run Stellarium. You can zoom in and out to look around the sky freely.

extra catalogues with more than 210 million stars

asterisms and illustrations of the constellations

images of nebulae (full Messier catalogue)

realistic Milky Way

very realistic atmosphere, sunrise and sunset

the planets and their satellites

2. Interface

Good news… Clipperz is improving to keep your password more secure and easy to manage. For the pass few weeks, Clipperz has been adding some new features to improve it’s online password manager.

Clipperz’s improvements:

Faster Encryption – Encryption routines have been optimized to make Clipperz faster and also enhance the security of Clipperz. The new version of Clipperz Crypto Library is available for download here under the usual BSD license. Read more here.

Random Password Generator – is a long-awaited feature requested by many users. It’s a very simple tool designed to securely generate password with an estimated entropy of at least 128 bits based on Fortuna algorithm. The password length will range from 19 to 26 characters, depending on how large is the pool of allowed characters. Read more here.

Clipperz Compact Edition – is a stripped down version of Clipperz online password manager designed to be opened in the Firefox sidebar. Its purpose is to keep your collection of “direct logins” always at hand. With just one-click, you can directly sign-in to a password protected web site without typing any username and password. Read more here.

Offline Copy – The offline copy is now a HTML file which can be opened in any browser. It is much easier compared to ZIP file. Read more here.

Languages – Clipperz password manager is also available in English, Japanese, Italian and Portuguese. Read more here.

Clipperz password manager is a cryptographic system with a 128-bit security level and Clipperz guarantees that no one except you can read your data. Visit https://www.clipperz.com and try it yourself.

GeoNames is a free global geographical database holds more than eight million geographical names covering coordinates, administrative divisions, postal codes, population, elevation and timezones. Users of GeoNames include Microsoft Popfly, Slide.com, LinkedIn, and Tagzania. GeoNames is a one-stop access to maps, data and other webservices with places and their coordinates (longitude/latitudes) for free download.

The geonames.org geographical database is available for download free of charge under a creative commons attribution license. Geonames.org contains over eight million geographical names and consists of 6.3 million unique features whereof 2.2 million populated places and 1.8 million alternate names. All features are categorized into one out of nine feature classes and further subcategorized into one out of 645 feature codes. The data is accessible free of charge through a number of webservices and a daily database export. Geonames.org is already serving up to over 3 million web service requests per day.

Geonames is integrating geographical data such as names of places in various languages, elevation, population and others from various sources. All latitude/longitude coordinates are in WGS84 (World Geodetic System 1984). Users may manually edit, correct and add new names using a user friendly wiki interface.

With GeoNames, you can:

search for names with our fulltextsearch (table based or displayed on map)

browse capitals, highest mountains and largest cities on map

browse names on map and show/hide feature classes and codes

bookmark maps

send maps via email

export names as character separated values (csv) file or as png image

edit names (wiki)

add new names to the database (for registered users)

geotagging of names (for registered users)

You can use the edit functions of geonames to correct spelling, correct the location of the place, add names and postal codes. You can also add names in other languages. If you are using geonames data on our website, you can have a backlink to the geonames edit page where your users can move and update a wrong entry.

For more info on how to use GeoName, read the User Manual.
