Grisoft is announcing version 7.5 of the AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. which is a major update to the very-good AV system after verson 7.1. This new 7.5 version has improved security performance and full compatibility with the latest Windows Vista version will be in future. i have been using this AVG anti virus free edition for quite some time and recommend to some of my friend. i can find everything that i want on this AVG free edition like email scanner and free automatic virus defination updates.

Here is some features that improved in AVG 7.5

• Improved virus detection based on better heuristics and NTFS data streams scanning
• Smaller installation and update files
• Improved user interface
• Windows Vista ready

i also noted Grisoft AVG Free edition website also has information on the download page with instructions for upgrading AVG 7.1 to 7.5! if you using AVG 7.1 Free edition, i think you better update the latest version since AVG 7.1 anti virus free version will be discontinued on 15th of Jan 2007.
