I downloaded the AOL active virus shield. after it got done it said it wouldn’t work I wasted over an hour downloading WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR PROGRAM?

Window Installer package got problem. Either it is not support the latest windows installer or problem on the msi packing by AOL.

AOL Active Virus Shield is no longer available. AOL is now offering McAfee® Virus Scan Plus-Special edition.

Just keep AVS, don’t use McAfee, it’s bloated and detects less.
All you have to do is delete the first 2 lines in “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVP6\Data\aol-updcfg.xml” :
and update works again!
Fuck AOL, fuck McAfee.
